Appointment of Residential Matron

Bridget Goodge

Bridget was the first Day House Matron at The King’s School, Canterbury for the two new Day Houses within the school, Marlowe and Mitchinson’s. She set up a system that worked for both houses, cared for the students, as well as liase with two Housemasters and the parents of 130 boys and girls.  This was a job she enjoyed immensely.

Bridget’s next venture took her to America where she was employed within a large Texan family, specifically organising Tom and Karen and three teenagers. The role was very varied from organising events and travel, to giving extra driving experience when their twins were learning to drive!

Bridget’s career has been very varied over the years, including running her own businesses, presently as a Gardener and previously as a  locally-based recruitment agency for Domestic Staff. She is looking forward to joining the team at the International College and meeting the wonderful students in September.
